April Reading Round-Up
This month was not a great reading month for me, BUT what I did read I really enjoyed.
The English Bookshop, Janis Wildy
Lucy has taken over a family mattress store after her stepfather passed away five years ago. Sadly the store is not doing as well as it once had, and Lucy's little brother thinks it is time to merge the store with a big company.
One day everything changes when Lucy gets a letter from her estranged father's lawyer letting her know her father has passed and left her a bookshop in the countryside of England.
The Stories We Tell, Joanna Gaines
Joanna talks about past hurts that formed her into who she is today and how she is breaking free of the molds she put herself in, even when there seems to be a risk involved. If she were to have the life she wanted, she would be a new anchor and have a predictable life, but she married Chip, and predictable is the furthest thing from her life.
Royally Rearranged, Emma St. Clair
Serafina is arranged to marry Callum, or so she thought, and Rafe, the royal playboy, has decided to help Sera get everything she wants. Along the journey, Sera realizes the life she thought she wanted may not be it.
Guys & Dogs, Elaine Fox
This is a perfect Summer beach read! It is quick, lighthearted, and fun. This is a classic story girl meets a dog, girl hunts down the dog's owner, owner doesn't want the dog but wants the girl.
I've now written dog so much it has lost all meaning.
This book has a cute meet-cute, a billionaire who is mysterious to everyone but Megan. Sutter has it all, or so it seems, but the one thing he is missing is a dog AND a girl who wants him for him and nothing else.
Have you read any of these?
What did you read last month?
