It's Winter around most of the world right now, and if you are like me, you may find yourself not eating as much fresh produce simply because you aren't sure what is actually in season and what is not. Well, worry no more, I am here to help!
Here are my top 5 seasonal foods you need to add to your lifestyle ASAP!!
BRUSSELS SPROUTS!
Roasted, raw, steamed, in all forms Brussel sprouts are delicious and should be added to your meals today! Try shredding your Brussels and adding them into a salad raw to add extra vitamin K, C, fiber, and B6!

2. Apples!
Let's be honest, when we think of apples we think apple picking, apple pies, cinnamon apples, maybe even candied apples. Again. these sweet treats can be shredded and added to salads -- they are an awesome combination with brussels -- or eaten raw for a delicious crunchy snack.

3. Cauliflower
Cauliflower may be taking over the world right now, but did you know it is actually a winter veggie? You can use this veggie in place of potatoes, or mixed with the potatoes for added fiber, choline, vitamin K, and potassium.

and 5. Sweet Potatoes!!!
I eat sweet potatoes in some form every morning in the winter. I like the boost of fiber, complex carbs, potassium, B6, and vitamin A in the mornings. The biggest reason for breakfast is to get in as many vitamins & nutrients to have a good start to your day and studies show that people who eat a healthier breakfast make healthier choices throughout the rest of the day!
